I love to be creative. At one time or another I’ve knitted and crocheted, some painting (not very well), crewell, needlepoint, rugs and many other crafts over the years. I’ve definintely found my passion in jewelry. The one craft I always wanted to master, and never have, was sewing. Oh I can thread a needle and run a straight seam and I’ve even made wearable clothing on occaision. Just ask my Dad.
My Nana, at the age of 87 was in the process of making a robe for Christmas for Dad when she suddenly took ill and passed shortly after. I swore I would finish the robe for her and I did. I think Dad was touched and he wore the robe for years. Maybe I should get the sewing machine out again and try to make a new one for him. Not this year though. Sorry Dad.
So I am in awe of people who sew beautifully and make it look so easy.
Recently I received a gorgeous wallet like the pink one in the above picture from the wonderfully creative and oh so generous Tina of M5 creative corners. I was astounded to just discover today that there was also a dollar inside the wallet for good luck. Thank you Tina. I fell in love with this wallet the day I received it and wanted to protect it from being overloaded. I tend to grossly overstuff my wallet so I can just grab it and go without my pocket book when I want to. But this was so beautiful I just slid in my cash and three cards, no change and a check book and never noticed my extra little gift. I suspect thoughfulness, care and meticulous attention to detail goes into every M5 creation.
Along with my wallet I received 10 of Tina’s Mini Purses to sell at the Glenside Farmers Market Holiday Craft Show and I would love to show you a picture of one of them in person but guess what, they all sold.
Certainly that is no surprise. These bright, colorful and very usable Mini Purses attracted so much attention at my booth and people gobbled them up for stocking stuffers and themselves.
Tina’s creativity only begins at your pocketbook. Take a look at some of her other items from her Etsy Shop M5 creative corners.
A plastic bag holder to keep all those grocery bags neat and tidy,
Why not give this one to a little girl to keep some toys tidy and off the floor. It’s so cute I’d almost hate to put the bags in it.
Or cover a book
with sweet little book covers. This one’s my favorite. Just love those cats.
I could pick out more of Tina’s pieces to show you but you really should check them out for yourself and see the fine quality, amazing colors and details.
